Delete Your Data — Safe Mail & VookMail
This page explains how to delete data related to the Safe Mail Android app (Google Play: com.apps.temp.mail) and the VookMail website (www.vookmail.com). Both use the same service.
What data exists
- Temporary inboxes and their messages — created without an account and not linked to your identity.
- App notification token — a random push token from Firebase, with the date it was last seen and the app version. It contains no name, email address or phone number.
- Messages you send us through our contact channels, if any.
How to delete it
- Temporary inbox: open the address and tap Delete. Messages and attachments are also deleted automatically after about 1 day.
- Notification token: uninstall the app, or turn off notifications in Settings → Apps → Safe Mail → Notifications. The token stops working and is removed from our server automatically the next time we send a notification.
- Anything else / request full deletion: contact us via www.vookmail.com/contact-us with the subject "Delete my data". Include the temporary address(es) if relevant. We delete the requested data within 30 days.
What we keep
We do not keep deleted inboxes, messages or tokens. Technical server logs (for example IP addresses used to prevent abuse) are kept only as long as needed for security and are then deleted by our hosting rotation.
